Introduction
to Handmade Nepal
We
are one of the pioneer families in promoting Nepalese &
Tibetan Handicrafts. Our family has been engage in aiding
the historical culture of Nepalese & Tibetan Handicrafts
for three generations now.
Initially,
our basic focus of business was only on Copper Statue crafting
through the process of Loss-wax method. The statue crafting
profession was pass on to us by our ancestors from Shakya
clan who have learn this method of statue crafting from
Tibet during their frequent trade-visit in the ancient past.
The dharma teachers promoted this culture of statue making
in Buddhist monasteries during their leisure times in Ancient
Tibet. But, again, if we look into a further depth of the
history, we will find that Statue crafting culture was first
initiated in Ancient Nepal itself. This culture of Statue
crafting was adopted into Tibetan Culture by Nepalese Artists
who went to Tibet along with Nepalese Princess Bhrikuti
(Green Tara) when she got married with the then very strong
Tibetan King Tsong Zong Gampo.
Slowly,
in the recent years, we have also started to incorporate
other Buddhist related arts & dharma crafts in our product
range. Today, we spiritually believe that we should try
our best to protect the ancient heritage of Buddhist Arts
& Culture, which is slowly diminishing in this rapidly
mechanizing modern world.
Therefore, the main objective of our company today has been
to provide the continuity to the Buddhist Arts & Culture
by providing continuous support to the artist communities
devoted on this culture by means of effective marketing
of their products in the world market.
To
become an effective marketer for these products in the world
market, today, we are trying to become a professional organization
with equally conscious responsibilities.
